We were offered the chance to review this 4-piece Bondage Boutique set. We’ve enjoyed plenty of products from this range, including the adjustable nipple and clit clamps, the soft collar and lead, and the collar-to-wrist cuffs.
Comfort is often blended with light-medium BDSM with Bondage Boutique, so you’ll get fluffy insides to the cuffs or restraints that could be easily undone by the submissive. It makes them an ideal entry point for those experimenting with bondage, and they also have some of the harder stuff (like clit clamping), so it’s definitely not just for beginners.
This 4-piece, however, was a little disappointing for us in terms of our tastes, as well as some of the general design choices. I’ll go through each item one by one.
The blindfold: This was a strange one because essentially it feels quite cheaply made. The elastic part is fine, but there’s a thin plasticky layer covering the inside of the actual blindfold that’s really noisy and uncomfortable against your eyelids.
As with the rest of the item, the external design is adorned with silver stars on a black background. They look okay but it’s just not that sexy in our humble opinion. 1/5
The ballgag: We definitely enjoy a ballgag, despite the jawache that results after chomping on it during a few hard orgasms. This one has a good, solid strap and looks really well built, with a jet black ball complete with breathable holes. I personally find the ball to be on the edge in terms of size (I’m not sure if there is some industry-standard size for them but it seems bigger than the others we’ve tried). It takes a little bit of relaxation and adjustment, and then it’s comfortable, but we like that slight test of limits anyway.
Once it’s on and you’re relaxed, you can almost get a bit of a head rush, and this, combined with the submissive sensation it creates, heightens everything and makes it more intense. It’s the best part of the product, although it doesn’t really fasten securely and is very easy to undo (which some may prefer given it could become uncomfortable quickly). 4/5
The paddle: This is pretty good; it’s solid with two options in terms of the spanking. The felt material on one side offsets that pleasant, submissive feeling of a good hard whack on your bum. It also means you can do a tantalising, soft rub on the area with that side before going in for another. You can use the other side for a flatter, fluffy-free whack – although I’m not sure if that’s the intention of the design. It loses points because of the very-present silver star design that we do not enjoy. 3/5
The cuffs: This must be our 6th or 7th pair of cuffs currently in circulation! We are not fans of this one, and that’s partly to do with the design… they are so chunky! They are also very, very soft and incredibly easy to escape.
These are very much beginner cuffs, fastened using velcro, and they connect to each other using these clip-connector things (i forget their name). These are quite squeaky, a little resistant to opening and seemingly a bit cheap. 1/5
So overall, it’s probably about a 2 out 5 score. We will get use out of the ballgag for sure, and the paddle will be involved in future as well. But the other two items were really not to our tastes.
If you are looking for a beginner’s bondage set then this okay, although the gag might be on the edge if you’re new to this. However, it’s just not a set we could really recommend unfortunately.

I was very impressed with how well this kit it made, the straps for the cuffs and ball gag are soft yet sturdy, and very comfortable it doesn’t scratch you arms/face, the ball of the ball gag is nice and light too, it’s not like having a snooker ball in your mouth, I think the ball could do with being slightly smaller though, I think people with smaller mouths or bigger teeth might struggle with the size, the paddle is firm and makes a nice slapping sound, and is definitely something that comes out a lot during sexy time, the blindfold has the same star pattern as the rest of the kit and really finishes off the look, but for me personally it’s no different to the ones I use to sleep with after working nightshift.
Overall it’s a great little kit, beginners and advances users would enjoy this set, we will definitely be using it more ourselves
