My husband loves me to be dominant, it’s such great fun and I never have to do the dishes etc ever again!!! We really couldn’t be without this bar. It’s great because you can fit hand cuffs or ankle cuffs, it is by far his favourite item in our toy box as he simply cannot get out of it.

Well made and nicely finished bar with a good range of adjustment, bought this because a partner liked to be teased but had trouble staying still. Both in anticipation and use we were both very happy with the product they wrist attachments work well, far better than they look as though they would. The bar comes, as it says without cuffs or clips/carabiners to attach them and most cuffs come with only one clip, so I’d advise making sure you have enough to restrain the submissive partner with before trying to use it. Fitting the bar to wrists or ankles already wearing cuffs (have used with both dominix and coco de mer) is quick and easy, the submissive may not even realise they are so bound until they try to move. The bar is strong enough to allow a sub to be flipped over or otherwise manoeuvred using it

This. I. Amazing. This is what I’ve always imagined a spreader bar should be like. I have had several in my collection and they have never quite lived up to my hopes. This one does and surpasses them. It is strong enough to hold someone in place, attractive enough to not be intimidating, and most importantly long enough to leave a partner feeling powerless and unable to close their legs. This spreader bar is impeccable, and I would recommend it to anyone who has ever been interested in bondage. As is always the case with Lovehoney, the product arrived unbelievably quickly in super discreet packaging so that nobody would have any idea what was inside; which is great news as my neighbours received it for me as I was not home. The spreader bar packaging was simple as is always the case with bondage boutique. There was nothing tacky or classless about it but nothing which made me feel more excited to use it either. Aesthetically, the bar is attractive. It is metal and black leather with several holes to adjust its length (even the smallest gives a substantial ‘stretch’) which are controlled by 2 removable silver pins. Even just looking at it I got aroused; it screams ‘kinky’. Though it is certainly well made, I worry that the leather may eventually start to peel away from the bar, although this certainly hasn’t happened yet. There are two thing legal rings at the ends of the bar which you need to attach your own cuffs too, as the bar does not come with cuffs. We chose a pair that are incredibly comfortable wear, even for long periods of time and are strong enough that they can’t be broken free from- even with lots of struggling. A massive bonus is that you can change the cuffs, so if you want to include a pair that are less comfortable and may hurt a bit that is no problem! In use, this spreader bar was absolutely incredible. Beyond amazing. What I really wanted was a bar that left the person wearing it completely spread so they were helpless, and this bar certainly delivered. Closing your knees is impossible, even if you have very long legs so the wearer is truly at your mercy; exactly what you want from a bondage product. The pins used to adjust the length of the bar have a ring to attach more cuffs to which was a great idea, but as the pins can simply be pulled out to adjust the length of the bar, it means the person bound could easily escape by pulling the pins out if they were attached to them- this is the products biggest letdown, but with a bit of creativity it is easy to think of other ways to tie up their hands. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone looking at moving beyond ordinary handcuffs or Velcro restraints: you will not be disappointed!

I’ve always wanted a spreader bar, for the vulnerability aspect, but waited until this extendable beauty came on sale. And I’m very happy that I waited, as I think I would have been disappointed with one without the three options this one is blessed with. The metal is lightweight but sturdy, as you would hope, and thankfully finished to a good standard so no sharp edges. Extending the bars is fairly idiot proof, but my only slight grumble would be the pins t hold the bars in place: the small ball that pops in and out on the pin to hold them in place doesn’t feel massively strong, and I do wonder how much use and pressure would be required for them to pop out at a crucial moment. Unlikely, I’m sure, but it is the only part of the kit that feels a bit iffy. Overall though, a lovely piece of equipment that stores easily between uses and adds a wonderful level of vulnerability to restraint play.

The good: – o-rings on the end so you can attach your preferred cuffs/rope/silk ties – 8 holes for pins so can be adjusted to many lengths between max/min length. – maximum length keeps legs very well apart for full access – light weight and compact when packed away. The not so good: – In one session, my partner was on her back and whilst I was holding the bar with both hands, I hoisted it up so her ankles were above my head, lifting her butt off the bed during penetration. She’s quite light, but the bar was noticeably bent afterwards. It’s designed to be compact and the size of the drill holes compared to the diameter of the bar obviously weaken it too. Didn’t think of all this in the heat of the moment. Both considered it a very hot position, but we’ll just need to get something more appropriately heavy duty for such activity. To be fair, this isn’t designed to be load bearing, so I can’t really say it’s a fault in the product. Overall verdict: For spreading whilst standing, laying on back, prone, or legs up with wrist restraints tied to the bar, it is perfectly fine so overall we’re very happy with it. I’d recommend using one during foreplay combined with your partner’s favourite toys.

Very sexy spreader bar. Adjustable from a very tame length to a very sexy wide length. Works with all of the cuffs we have. The black metal makes for a sexy and quality product. The bar is comfortable and can be used to control them very well. We used for both ankles and then for wrists, easy to change length and attach points.

A high quality purchase to spice up an already fiery sex life. We are both into bdsm and this was our best purchase. It is extendable so easy to start small and work your way up. Rigid and high quality metal has held up well. My wife has exclaimed it does hurt her ankle when the metal end digs into her ankle however, this is the point of it and she has said this pain is also a turn on as she feels it reminds her of her lack of control. A great touch to not include the cuffs in my opinion. Having bought many items already, we are beginning quite the collection of wrist and ankle cuffs… many the same so it is nice to see that this product is just the essentials.

I like how this spreader bar is adjustable. You can start small and work your way up. Quality seems good. Adjustment is easy and locks into place. We have also used a chain with clips on each end to suspend the spreader bar. We really enjoy using this spreader bar.

Incedibly sturdy little bar! Anchor points may well be STRONGER than the bar itself? SO simple to use, little drop pins are easily adjusted at will… Whoever you choose to attatch to it is going NOWHERE fast!!!

This is something me and my girl have wanted to try for awhile simply because we both love having her legs spread wide open. Although she can spread them much wider without the bar, the bar makes it extra exciting because I can take it and push it as far back as I want taking that control away from her which really gets her going WILD! THIS WAS A NEW ADVENTURE AND A PERMANENT FIXTURE IN OUR BDSM DUNGEON. Our only request would be make it extend further for those experienced leg spreaders! GREAT PRODUCT, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Of all of the toys and accessories I have bought, this is definitely one of my favourites.
The design is simplistic, however this is not a criticism, too often I find things needlessly overcomplicated.
I chose this particular bar as it does not come with cuffs, this gives the buyer freedom to use cuffs they may already have or alternatively purchase a set of cuffs they like; nobody wants a set of unwanted cuffs laying dormant on their shelf or in the bottom of the wardrobe.
The bar is simple enough that anybody could pick it up and use it, no instructions required, and when used in conjunction with other toys can be very versatile.
Examples of alternative methods of use for the bar could include:
Combining the spreader bar with;
• A pair of double ended clips such as the ‘Bondage Boutique Double Metal Bondage Clip’
• A collar with a D-ring
• A hogtie
Attaching on end of the bar to the front of the collar, and the other end of the bar to the centre ring of the hogtie (wrists in between the thighs), this forces the person wearing it into a position where their knees are drawn up to their chest, leaving them exposed and powerless.
Combining a pair of spreader bars with;
• Two pairs of over-the-door cuffs (for ankles and wrists)
• Any suitable door
Attaching a cuff to each end of each bar (this likely may require the use of additional clips). Attach the bars to the door being used, one bar at the bottom of the door, the other at the top. Congratulations you now have a rudimentary St Andrew’s Cross.
These are only two suggestions, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Of course there is also always the option of using it simply as a spreader bar.
For any of these options the length of the bar can easily be adjusted using the pins holding the bar together, there is no need to remove it from the person wearing it, simply pull out one ofnthe pins, adjust the length and replace the pin. An earlier reviewer mentioned attaching cuffs to the rings on the pins, however I think the rings were designed to allow for easier removal of the pins by giving something to pull on instead of having to push the pins put from the reverse side. The pins a held in place by a ball bearing and seem to be very secure during use yet easy enough to remove when required, a little force is needed, but this should be easily achieved by most people.
Overall I would say the product is well made and finished, reasonably priced, and definitely a must have for anyone wanting to dip their toe in or further explore bondage, or indeed current practitioners who have a little imagination.
Highly recommended.

This isn’t the first spreader bar we have owned but hands down these are the best yet. Previous bars we have owned have either felt cheap and flimsy or had the burden of non-removable cuffs which flake and fall apart. Thanks to these having nice solid anchor points you can pair them with your favourite cuffs (bear this in mind when ordering, you don’t get cuffs or connectors).
Opening the package I was initially a bit confused with the size as these break down to a very travel friendly size. They feel solid and the metal is nice and smooth. Extending them is nice and easy with the included pins, but remember that if they are fully extended they do feel a little less sturdy, haven’t had any issues yet, but just keep it in mind.
Speaking of spreading wide, these bars are much wider than any we have had before (much to the wife’s elation). Paired with a nice pair of cuffs these make for a great bit of fun. Matte black is a good look too.

Arrived in the usual discreet manner which I’ve grown accustomed to from Love Honey.
The bar itself looks fantastic and works with our existing cuffs. It’s very versatile, for example it can be used to spread the legs, the arms and when used vertically, can be used to tie the wrists to one end and ankles to the other, in a hog tie type position.
We also have a collar which my sub wears that has hoops to attach cuffs etc, so I went ahead and put a metal loop on the bar before attaching her cuffs to the ends and then clipped that hoop to her collar, so her arms were not only spread wide but unable to move up or down. There is however bars with a middle loop already attached but I liked the fact this one could be adjusted in length, which is why we went for it.
Quality of the bar itself is almost there but the pins let it down as they fall out. I’ve gone and ordered some clips that I’m hoping will fit the bar to improve that issue. It’s probably that was as more of a safety aspect than anything but we’re fairly experienced in bondage now.
Overall I’d rate this, especially in our case as as we got it using a promo code and have many ways of using it.

So… I’ve been thinking about getting a spreader bar for FOREVER. this one was perfect. Good size range, and it not having pre-attached cuffs meant I was free to use nice quality ones of my own. Only downsides were that it can be tricky to find nice ankle cuffs with the right attachment that meet more aesthetic tastes, and that it doesn’t have an attachment point for wrist cuffs in the centre, but I’ve found ways to work around both- lovely versatile piece!!

Well constructed and fairly easy to use. Doesnet feel cheap.

Had the first one replaced free of charge as the holes weren’t drilled though so I was delighted with the fully functioning product. Really comfortable and easy to use. Plenty of options for amount if spread required.

Why is every spreader bar not like this???
Verified-Customer –
Exactly an expected. Collapses down to about 40cm, so easy for storage. Nice and lightweight but sturdy. Very happy for the price.
Verified-Customer –
The spreader is light weight, however very strong, their is no chance once locked in this are you shutting your legs. Given its strength it’s easy to manipulate your partners position during play.
Would I recommend in short yes

Many adjustments which make it nice for more than one use. Seems well built, little noise but thats to be expected when you have metal pieces that connect.
