My first impressions of the Arcwave “Perk” prostate vibrator.
This anal toy is a serious contender for one of the best prostate stimulators I have used. Its features help to create the most enjoyable sensations I have ever experienced through anal play / prostate stimulation and I very much enjoyed using the “Perk” for this purpose.
I consider the “Perk’s” best features to be:
* its two built-in, powerful motors (one in each of its two arms);
* the vibrations produced by its two motors (created pleasurable, and intense sensations and stimulation);
* ease of operation using both the manual, and remote, controls;
* the range of 10 intensities and patterns we could choose from;
* its ability to create highly satisfying orgasms from simultaneous prostate, and perineum, stimulation;
* the very quiet sound of its motors when employed;
* the generous 120 minutes play-time, and the reasonably short 90 minute charge time;
* the small alterations we could make to the angle of its two arms to allow for the best fit;
* the body-friendly, waterproof silicone material, that it is manufactured from, makes it so easy to clean; and
* the drawstring storage bag is a useful addition for storage.
What could have been better:
* The battery housing, in the remote control, could have clearer (permanent) markings for the (+) and (-) polarities.
Overall, I would recommend the “Perk” to both those considering the purchase of their first prostate vibrator, and the more experienced user. The range, and the power of its intensities perfectly replicated the sensations I receive during anal sex (pegging). The stimulation of my perineum, whilst my prostate was being simultaneously treated to the “Perk’s” waves of powerful vibrations, are an added bonus and the combination of both were highly satisfying.
My review in greater detail:
The Arcwave Perk Remote Control Prostate Vibrator is an anal toy that can be used individually, or mutually during partnered play, for prostate stimulation, anal play, or as part of the preparation for penetrative anal sex. It can be operated either manually, or remotely for hands-free control.
The two motors (one in each of the two arms of the “L-shaped” design), create strong vibrations allowing for the simultaneous external stimulation of the perineum and internal stimulation of the prostate. It is designed so that adjustments to the angle between the 4. 25 inch length of the vertical arm of the “L” shape (3. 6 inch insertable anal stimulator) and the 4 inch length of the horizontal arm (the non-insertable perineum stimulator) can be made to suit the user’s requirements. This allows for the adjustment of the “Perk’s” shape and angle of its two vibrating arms. for the best fit (and, therefore, the best experiences of the sensations from the two vibrating arms) according to the user’s anatomy. The adjustability point is where the two arms of the “L” shape meet and it is at this point where a hinge allows changes to the angle to be made. I thought that this was an excellent feature in that it allowed me to create a snug and comfortable fit against my perineum. The size and shape of the “Perk” are such that they give the user the reassurance that it is completely safe to use. The 3. 6 inch length of the insertable anal stim incorporates a bulb of a non-intimidatory size and girth. Its graduated dimensions and shape are designed for internal anal play – specifically for prostrate stimulation. Measuring 3. 8 inches at its maximum girth and tapering to 2 inches, we found that this (with the addition of lots of water-based lube) was perfect for a smoother, and comfortable, insertion making it suitable for both novices and more experienced anal plug users alike. The “Perk” is the perfect anal toy for couples who are considering the exploration of anal sex together – particularly for the introduction of prostate massage. It is particularly useful as an aid during the preparation for penetrative anal sex and it can be used either with, or without, the addition of the vibration mode. The silicone, from which the toy is manufactured, feels like a quality material. It is smooth and soft which I found comfortable whilst using it. The additional waterproof quality of the silicone means that it can be used in the shower. I found that this also helped when cleaning the toy after use when all that is required is a quick rinse with warm, soapy water or a spray of toy cleaner.
Operating the “Perk” was a fairly straightforward process. Holding down the large button for a couple of seconds until the vibration and the LED was activated, is all that it took before I was able to sample its range, and the power (and intensities) of its vibrations. By pressing the same large button, I was able to cycle through the 10 different vibration patterns each in turn. Out of the range of intensities, my personal favourites were the “random” and “wave” modes since these best replicated the the more intense sensations I normally experience during pegging. Turning off the vibe was equally easy and it was achieved by holding down the main button for 2 seconds. Changing the vibration patterns was also relatively straightforward. By pressing either the (>), or (<) buttons allowed me to cycle to the next, or previous vibration patterns. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet the “Perk” is – even when the most powerful intensity was selected, and when we cycled through all of the 10 intensities and patterns.
The Perk can be paired to the remote control it comes with and, following the accompanying instructions, we found that this was easily accomplished. (after ensuring that the battery was installed correctly). Whilst manual control of the “Perk” was fairly easy during both solo and paired play, using the remote to control its vibration patterns and intensities added an exciting dimension. Handing the control to my wife created a heightened sense of fun, anticipation, and lots of pleasure for both of us. Having my wife (or myself) take full control of the vibration strengths and patterns remotely was such an enjoyable, and rewarding, experience.
In conclusion, this toy is definitely one of the few that incorporates the power and intensity to replicate the sensations I usually receive during anal sex (pegging). Having my perineum and prostate simultaneously stimulated by its powerful vibrations and patterns was exquisite. Through its use, I was able to experience a great deal of prostate pleasure whilst my perineum (and the nerves around the entrance of my anus) were being simultaneously treated to sensational stimulation. My overall experience of using this toy was a very enjoyable and rewarding one. I would have no hesitation in recommending this prostate vibrator to those considering the purchase of their first prostate vibrator, or to the more experienced user.

I was so excited to try this toy. Arcwave technology toys tend to provide something a little different compared with other brands. I have several other, very similar, prostate toys and sadly this one just didn’t compete with the others.
Receiving this toy as part of the Lovehoney tester programme, I was ready to take the toy through several test cycles to really make sure I was giving it a good review. But from the first test to the last, it still doesn’t do it for me.
Packaging it comes in is great, usual expected quality from Arcwave. With charging cables and instructions etc. Feeling the toy in my hand for the first time, it has a pleasant weight to it and a nice, soft to the touch, plastic coating.
Charging the toy is very simple. Leaving it in long enough to fully charge gives the toy a really good battery life, even at full vibration mode.
The insertable head of the toy has a little more girth than some of the other similar toys I have experienced. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but noticeable, so one to keep in mind if you are looking at this as your first toy of this type.
My experience of the using the toy from this point was sadly a bit of a let down. The remote provided with the toy would never connect. I followed the steps in the instructions manual, changed batteries, charged the toy, and it still just would not connect. Thankfully the button on the toy itself worked and I could control from there, but still not good and inconvenient for a toy of this expected quality and price.
The toy has some adjustment, which is great for being able to control the intensity of the insertable section of the toy. The dual motors themselves are good, they have a pleasantly strong deep rumble vibration which when switched on for the first time is immediately pleasurable. You can feel the motors separately which is really nice and both are strong enough that it provides sufficient sensation to both external and internal areas. The motors are nicely quiet for the intensity that they provide. Sadly after cycling through the various vibration patterns I noticed that when I really ‘clamped down’ on the toy during intense points of usage, the motor couldn’t cope and would slow down. This was really distracting, particularly at the points when you want to just focus on the feeling being provided. I charged the toy several times to see if it was a low battery issue, but it was a continuous problem that spoiled the experience for me.
Cleaning and storage of the toy is really simple, particularly due to it’s waterproof exterior.
Overall, I was not impressed with the toys build quality and performance. Combined with the fact that it doesn’t come with additional features like app connectivity, it just doesn’t compete with the others on the market.

I got this to test out and it was a great toy.
If you have never ordered from LH then it arrives in plain outer packaging. Opening this I was greeted with a great little box which does show the item on the front, so not one you can leave out in case of kids/visitors. The box has a formed insert for the toy with a little bit at the end for the charging cable, control and a bag.
Using plenty of lube it is easy to insert, the main plus for me is the neck is narrower so more comfortable for any long sessions. The speeds and variations of the vibrations are superb. The only downside I found is that the remote control doesn’t have a great range. Otherwise a super toy that I have used often.
