This is a very good looking product, the black and gold combination is a very visually appealing design.
The first thing I noticed upon opening my (notoriously plain package) was a visually appealing black textured bad with gold accents at the end. Upon first look, this bar looked expensive and well built and it is just that. However, this was all the product had going for it.
The cuffs themselves are comfortable and don’t mark the wrists however the buckles are fairly stiff and fiddly. I found I couldn’t get a tight enough fit for myself or the OH using the cuffs and their buckles. We also found the fiddly nature a bit of a turn off and felt this would have benefitted from a Velcro system for fast restraint and removal.
Finally, we found the bar a tad too short to be effective. At 20 inches it doesn’t provide enough spread for hands or feet.
Overall, a wonderful looking product, we will stick with our bog-standard handcuffs for a more effective and efficient restraint.

Well…this was a lot of sexy fun. A spreader bar should be a part of every BDSM enthusiasts arsenal and I deserve to be spanked for how long it took me to get one!
I highly recommend stretching before attempting to get into this alone, and then disconnect the cuffs from the bar and reattach once they’re in place. It’ll make it much easier and you’ll be less likely to pull something which would put a serious dampner on the fun you’re about to have!
The black patent faux leather makes me feel quite classy while i’m being tied up all sexy like. The snake skin pattern and gold hardware add that wee extra touch.
As a sub, I enjoyed the feeling of being restrained with the spreader. It was a different feel to any other restraint that I’ve worn. I’d say this would be great for anyone new to BDSM as its not a massive spread.
The bar measures 19.5″ and with the cuffs on and my legs closed as much as I can, the spread is 12.5″ because of the links on the cuff. Thats a really gentle spread, I think I’ll be sizing up after I get used to this feeling but I’m going to have a lot of fun in the meantime.
The cuffs at their smallest measure 6″ and at their largest 10″. I’m not massively fond of the shape of the buckle, I’d prefer that it curved into the cuff rather than away from it as it makes it stick out a bit. But thats minor. This spreader will give me a lot of fun times, and although it’s targeted towards the ankles, you can use it on your wrists with or without the bar. You can attach the cuffs to make handcuffs or your dom(me) can hold you in place easily with the bar.
Lots of fun, 10/10 would recommend.

We’ve always been intrigued by a spreader bar but never actually followed through and purchased one. The good folks at Lovehoney kindly sent us this to review and I can honestly say I wished I bought one sooner.
Something so simple yet so sexy about this product. The strap that go around you ankles/hands are just beautiful. The shimmer of the material with the gold touches is superb.
The material is also smooth and fits comfortably around so that it can be used for prolonged periods.
The bar itself has a crocodile skin theme again with gold touches. Very light weight too.
We’ve used this a few times now and it’s just down right sexy. It gives for that dominated feel and if you are thinking about buying one I would certainly recommend this.
Only thing to make it slightly better would be if the bar could be extendable but I appreciate there are other items on the market for that.

I love the pattern on this spreader bar. In terms of functionality it is not very long so doesn’t spread my legs very far apart, I would say it is only just past hip width.
The material of the cuffs makes the quit stiff and uncomfortable, which could be a positive or a negative depending on your preference. I have personally opted to switch the cuffs out which is luckily quit easy to do.
The stiff material of the cuffs also makes them a little hard to buckle which is another reason that I opted to switch them out. Luckily though the stiff material does allow the cuffs to be tighten well which allows for a good amount of restriction.
I would personally love to see this pattern and design on maybe an extendable spreader bar.

That’s my first spreader bar. I really enjoyed it so far. It’s a good piece for renew passion in your bedroom and bring something you’ve never tried before.
It is very sexy and expensive looking. Also multifunctional. The only thing I found upsetting that it won’t spread wider.
It’s easy to use and can be removed if not needed anymore throughout the game as has clips on each ankle.
As I mentioned before it’s very multifunctional as u can use it as simple handcuffs as well or Change handcuffs to something more suitable for you, though! The cuffs are very soft! I expected if to be rough leather but it is very soft and comfortable. Clips are made with high quality, are not going to break!
It gave us with partner new experience and definitely will be used time after time to spice up our sex life.
Also I want to mention that it is not very heavy but heavy enough to say it is not cheap product.

This thing does what it says on the tin. It’s a good spreader bar. If you need to spread and hold somebody, this does it. But for its full price I’d be very disappointed with the quality of the ankle restraints themselves (this was bought on sale). The straps feel cheap quality and the actual fastening mechanism is a little fiddly and doesn’t either look good or make for easy buckling and unbuckling. It has minimal size options (just the 3) and I feel like were I any larger I might struggle to use this. It very much feels like a premium bar with a poor restraint.

The purpose is clear: use the bar to keep your partner bound in a certain position.
This bar does one part of that. It will keep wrists or ankles bound, but there is so much flexibility on the restraints that it doesn’t really keep wrists or ankles apart. I wore it on my ankles and could almost click my heels. Ultimately I wish I had bought a longer bar.

I wasn’t exactly stressing it, and the very first time I used it the end cap rings snapped completely off. Flimsy metal, not capable of withstanding even moderate pressure.

The idea of a spreader bar is something we’ve both wanted for a long time, when this item when on sale at half price it seemed like a good idea to try.
The bar looks the part, I though it would be wider than I was still decent enough, It felt nice to have on and the restraints feel nice, looks alone it’s a nice piece.
Within 10 minutes of using it though the rings at one side kept coming out, ruining the moment instantly. Its easy enough to put back together, but it’s something you really shouldn’t be doing. After all the idea of being restrained is that you can’t get out.
Overall I’d give this a miss and buy a better one, I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for it at least.

This is our first spreader bar and has been great fun to continue experimenting with BDSM.
Having used this kit a couple of times now it seems pretty sturdy, with the cuffs becoming more supple every time they are used. The cuff material feels comfortable, especially when fastened. When loose it does look and feel like the material could be a bit rigid, but this was not an issue when actually in use. For the cost of this (bought in the sale) compared to real leather equivalent I think this is really good value.
There are plenty of holes in the fastenings so can accommodate both thicker ankles or thinner wrists. The clips to the spreader bar were nice and easy to connect and release for smooth transitions.
Our favourite use of this kit so far has been to have the cuffs worn on the wrists and the bar connected behind the back. When the wearer is on their knees and there chest is against the floor (with the bar against the back of the knee) creates a great exposed restraint, but the wearer can still handle a wand. This all leads to a very exciting and kinky evening.
When used as a spreader bar on the ankles then the bar can act as a great handle to push the wearers legs up in the air when they are on their back. The cuffs felt comfortable even when used like this

When I opened the package I thought it was good quality and looked very simple to use. However the bar was much too short for me and I could very easily pull my knees together.
It could work well for people who are just starting out with kink and bdsm because it’s not too restrictive which might be more comfortable. However for those looking for something more robust this is not the one!
